Sunrise

There is a very peculiar habit in my life: once a year I get up very early to see the sun rise on the highest mountain of the Rhön: the Wasserkuppe!

Oh well, I am not crazy, for I meet up with 4 friends, so I am not the only one. This meeing is already a well loved tradition, we met for the 6th time this year. But this year was the first year that actually didn't get to see the sun - FOG as thick as cotton! But the sun was rising exactly at 6.14 am or so the newspaper said.

There were only four of us this year (Vanessa, Hildegard, Tobias and Me), for as some of you know, Christian is in Mexiko at the moment (we are already waiting for your dinner invitation - hihi!). We cannot really remember why we do this, the only thing we know is, that Tobias lost a bet and therefore had to bring us to the Wasserkuppe for the sunrise after our prom 5 years ago.We live all over Germany/Europe now and this is sometimes the only occasion we are managing to be at the same time at the same place. We knew that it would be like this and Christian is a vivid example that it still does not always work out the way we planned it. Instead we had a special guest: Luzia, a friend of Vanessa. We also made it a habit to have breakfast afterwards at my place.

We spent the whole day together. Last year we went canoeing and this year we decided to go hiking. It even got sunny later on and it was a great day out. The picknick was perfect - okay, don't mention that I forgot half of the stuff in the fridge, but hey, it was quite early!

But it is good to have friends like them - thank you!

To bad, I couldn't be there:-( But don't worry, you'll get your dinner. Definitely some Mexican food! And I don't want to hear any complaints if it is too hot. Another thing: No wonder you didn't see the sun, the sun is with me;-(

I thought I had already written a comment to this post. Well, maybe something didn't work properly or you haven't had time yet to publish it.

Let me tell you that I'm very sorry I couldn't be there this year. Would have liked to spend the day with all of you. But don't worry, the dinner is not forgotten and we will definitely do that. Of course it will be Mexican food (I'm already collecting recepies) so be prepared: it will definitely be hot!

BTW, have you realized? The sun is with me;-) So you better make sure next year I'll be there;-)

I'm sorry, but I was in Stuttgart for the last two weeks (I will write a post on that later on - maybe if I find time before our trip to Corfu!) without an internet connection and therefore unable to publish any comments!
